Election post

Status
Elected
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

1.) Organise regular Welfare Socials every 2 weeks at least

2.) Organise other fun socials both online and in-person (e.g. Kahoot nights, collabs with other societies, games nights etc.)

3.) Collabs with other DSNs across London and beyond so our members can make friends

4.) Collab with the SSW so that our members can get more support

5.) Create a DSN Alumni group so that our members can stay in touch and continue making friends and feel part of a computer

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I have been on the committee of the DSN for years and previously served as co-DSO for 2021–22. I have been Welfare Officer of many other societies and thus have received the relevant experience. I also have a lot of connections to other societies and groups, external organisations and resources, which will be essential in this role.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I have a lot of relevant experience and contacts and this will help me with the role. I promise to be there for all of our members, whether it is through signposting or just listening – I am always here for you all. Being disabled at university is very hard, and I want to help make things better and improve the experience for our members. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
