Welcome to the rather basic but wonderful webpage of the UCL Union Masaryk Society! We cater for any student at UCL who has an interest in Central and Eastern Europe. We run many different types of events, from ambassador panels, round table discussions, speakers, socials, trips to the theatre and cinema as well as our annual cultural trip.  Whether you are studying at SSEES or a student from the region, we are here to primarily promote the cultures of Central and Eastern Europe and have a lot of fun in the process!

In previous years, we have organised ambassador panels on subjects such as "10 Years After Dayton" in January 2006, which featured all the ambassadors from the countries that made up the former Yugoslavia and also "A New Europe", where we hosted the Estonian, Czech, Polish, Hungarian and Slovenian ambassadors at UCL in February 2005. Our other high-profile events have included the panel discussion on Romania's accession to the EU in 2007, which included the Deputy Foreign Minister, as well as our first round-table event, which was part of UCL Union's "One World Week" this year, which coincided with the 40th anniversary of the Prague Spring.
